The High School Invitational Choral Festival concert from September 30, 2013
Photos from the blood drive. SC not only met, but surpassed the goal they had set. Great job everyone!
The Jinx Radio Station got a face lift over the summer. It is now better than ever with up-to-date equipment and a whole new, more open, room layout.
Well, all good things much come to an end, and sadly, my blog is one of them. It’s been great, writing about my experiences at school and whatnot, but I had to make a tough decision.
As a freshman, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I was flying by the seat of my pants, as we all do, and the blog was a great way of chronicling my first year and helping me figure things out and working through struggles I had. It was great to look back on the year and remember the first times for things.
But with a new year comes new challenges, and those challenges are tougher classes and more social activities. And even as awesome as I am, it’s hard to balance everything. So I have to make changes.
And that means I feel the blog must go. It’s not easy, writing every week, and it’s been taking too much time for me. I have decided to focus on my schooling and live my life off the internet.
Don’t worry though! I’ll be around! Goodbye is never really forever. That’s what the movies say right? Regardless, I’ll see you later!
This is Jace signing off!
Well, we were off school yesterday. It was great. Lots of fun. I just relaxed, hung out with my little bro, the family grilled out. We all even went up to Wichita one day to do some shopping and see a movie in the Warren.
Gotta say that even though many people grill good burgers, they have nothing on dad. He can grill anything and it’s always amazing.
David went home for the weekend. I would’ve invited him over, but at the same time, it was nice to just have family time. Even though I live in the same town, I don’t go hang out with my family much at all, though I see them more than David sees his folks.
But today, back to the grindstone.
I think I mentioned last week how I was happy the Java Jinx was open, but really, you have no idea how happy I am.
The cool thing is that it is the same old Java Jinx with some new tricks. Namely, a slick new menu board (or at least new to me), and something else going in that looks like it might be a shake machine of some sort. It wasn’t up and running when I went by this morning, but I have seen something like it in Quik Trip. That’s pretty exciting!
It still offers the same types of things it always did, pop, candy, chips, coffee, and other food items both hot and cold. Did I mention cookies? Mmmm, yes, it offers those too.
I decided to grab one of those tuna sandwiches, a bag of chips, and a soda. It’s a bit late and hot for coffee today, in my opinion, but tuna is always right no matter what the season or time.
